Listen to Music, Eat Wings, Be Happy!

This event has evolved over time into its current state as a competition decided by the people’s vote — each paid guest through the gate receives one vote ticket which can be used to select your favorite wing vendor of the night. It is also a concert, featuring the best regional bands along with nationally touring tribute and cover bands, playing in State College's best venue! Voting ends at 9:30pm to be tallied and a winner announced by 9:45pm! All seven winning restaurants will compete at The Finals to determine the Tussey Mountain Wing King!

WingFest FAQs

  1. What exactly is WingFest? WingFest is a wing competition and concert rolled into one! WingFest takes place on 8 Thursdays throughout the summer, bringing together all of the best restaurants, businesses and food vendors to one centralized location. Wing competitors are there serving up their sauces trying to win YOUR vote! Each paid guest receives a vote ticket at the gate, which can be used to cast your selection for your favorite wing competitor. The winner of that round moves on to the Finals in the 8th week to battle it out for the overall champion. Two great bands perform on stage each night.
  2. How does the event work? Once inside the amphitheater, use cash or card to purchase WingFest tickets. One WingFest ticket is $1, and these tickets do not expire (accepted only at WingFest events)! Use these tickets to purchase wings, beverages, other food options and even chairlift rides.
  3. Is there an ATM on site? An ATM is located inside the main doors of the Tussey Mountain Lodge (next to the amphitheater entrance) and a second ATM is located at the Fun Centre building (note: the Fun Centre closes at 8pm).
  4. How much does it cost to attend? It is $10 (with fee) for adults (age 18+) if purchased online or $15 at the gate, $5 for youth (age 7-17) if purchased online and $8 at the gate. WingFest is free for children (age 6 and under).
  5. What CAN we bring inside the amphitheater? Chairs and/or blankets are recommended for seating and can be brought inside. There are limited chairs and picnic tables inside the amphitheater. A personal water bottle carrying water is permitted (one per person). You may also bring trays/tupperware/or other items that may make carrying all of your wings easier (wings are served in disposable paper boats). Pop-up tents and umbrellas are permitted but they must be set up along the east fence line or behind the access road (see a staff member at the gate for clarification) and they must be anchored to the ground securely.
  6. What CAN’T we bring inside the amphitheater? Coolers and outside food & beverage are not permitted. Pets are not permitted. Weapons (firearms, knives, etc) are not permitted. Fireworks and other loud or bright objects are not permitted and may be subject to removal.
  7. Are dogs permitted? Pets are not permitted – ADA service animals only. No emotional support, therapy, comfort or companion animals. For clarification on service animals, visit the ADA website.
  8. What other food items besides wings will be available? BBQ, pizza, tacos, fresh-cut fries, chicken tenders, nachos, pierogies, haluski, italian ice.
  9. Is there a charge for parking? Parking is FREE at WingFest! Cars and trucks only – no RV or camper parking is permitted unless approved by management. Motorcycles are welcome as well, and will be directed to motorcycle parking areas.
  10. Can we camp or park overnight? There is no camping at Tussey Mountain. In the event where a vehicle needs to be parked overnight, contact a staff member that evening for approval. Vehicles must be off of the property by 10am the following day.
  11. How can I become a vendor or competitor? Send an email to info@tusseymountain.com !
