2024 Tussey Par 3 Golf League Rules
- Teams must consist of 2 players
- Each team will play a scramble. A scramble consists of both players taking a shot and continuing play by playing from the spot of the best hit ball. The player whose shot was not taken will drop their ball near their partners and play their next shot from there. This continues throughout the hole until the ball is in the cup.
- When playing your partners shot, your ball must be placed as close to their ball position as possible. Any attempt to place a ball in a more favorable distance or lie could result in disqualification.
- Players will play all 9 holes consecutively without extended breaks.
- All rounds as they relate to the league must be played during the allotted time slots (4pm-8pm?)
- All balls must be hit either off of the champion tee mat or next to the champion tee mat, but never in front or behind.
- There are no mulligans under any circumstances.
- Balls that are unfindable or unplayable may be moved or dropped into play with a 1 stroke penalty.
- If a ball lands in an unfavorable lie that may cause damage to the club if hit, the ball may be moved to a safer lie within a reasonable distance to the original lie, but no more than a half club length away.
- There will be no “gimme” putts allowed. Finish every putt out no matter how close to the hole. Pace of play should be quick enough that this shouldn’t back up other teams.
- Pace of play should be like any other golf course. Play through as you normally would without delay.
- If asked to allow someone to play through, use your best judgment and act accordingly.
- The league is rain or shine. In the event that one partner cannot make it, the other partner may play on their behalf and play 2 balls. In the event neither partner can attend, the score from the previous week will be used with a stroke penalty added on.
- If a team misses more than 1 week, they will be disqualified from winning any prize. They will still be allowed to participate in the remaining week(s).
- Free beverages will only be given out to those who complete their round and not to those who show up later or on a different date. Scorecards must be submitted before receiving a free drink.
- Respect any and all course etiquette. This includes fixing divots, replacing the flag, taking proper care of the greens, etc. Failure to do so may result in disqualification and a ban from all future par 3 course use.
- Players are to report their scores to a member of the Tussey Mountain staff immediately after completion of the round.
- All scores are final. Once they are given to a Tussey Mountain staff member they may not be changed under any circumstances.
