The concert officially kicks off the new Happy Valley Music Series at Tussey Mountain, presented in part by The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau.
Concert goers will experience the magic of their timeless classics and incredible cuts from Bob Marley’s vast repertoire in a set that is truly unforgettable. Under the guidance of Aston Barrett Jr., son of the legendary “Family man,” The Wailers continue to preserve the legacy of their iconic sound.
Adding to the excitement of the kick-off concert, attendees can also view Bob Marley memorabilia from Bob’s last concert at the Stanley Theatre in Pittsburgh in 1980. The exhibit includes many photographs and autograph items from Bob Marley, plus other memorabilia, all from the Rich Engler private collection.
Tickets for The Wailers/Rusted Root Uprooted Trio are $40 (plus service charge) for general admission, with a limited number of $50 (plus service charge) tickets that ensure upfront viewing. Tickets are on sale now!
Rich Engler proudly presents Jim Messina and his band on Sunday July 28th at Tussey Mountain Amphitheatre. Also starring on the same show is Pure Prairie League. Presented in part with the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau.
Jim Messina has played with Loggins and Messina, Poco and Buffalo Springfield throughout his career. Few musical artists résumés list membership in a band inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; fewer still can lay claim to being a founding member of the seminal band credited with creating Country Rock; and only one artist can include all the above in addition to being one half of the most successful duos of the 1970s.
Jim Messina produced multiple albums for Buffalo Springfield before joining the band as a musician for their live shows. He then joined the group Poco before teaming up with Kenny Loggins to form Loggins and Messina, producing classic hits “Your Mama Don’t Dance”, “Angry Eyes” and “Danny’s Song”.
Stay tuned for more information on this show. Announcement coming later this spring!
